Pachee (by Exozet Games)

The classic (as in, from the 4th century AD, rather than ‘that’s well classic’) Indian boardgame Pachee, otherwise known as pachisi and parcheesi, is out now on the Android Market and coming soon to Java courtesy of Exozet Games. The original game is widely considered to be one of the national games of India, playing out much like ludo only with cowry shells rather than dice and two teams racing each other to the finish.

This new version comes with a wide variety of unlockable board types, including the standard cross and circular layout, and three game modes including the campaign-like Journey mode. Both versions also come with a local multiplayer mode, allowing for up to three friends to pass the handset around and out-manoeuvre the other team.
